As design director for Bitossi for over fifty years, artist Aldo Londi created a unique aesthetic combining traditional, folk art, and contemporary aesthetics into a signature sensibility. 
 
This bird shaped bowl from the "Morocco" line is a perfect example. Using great form, texture, pattern, muted color and a touch of whimsy, it becomes both sculpture and functional art. 
 
The piece is in excellent original condition and is marked on the bottom with a partial Rosenthal Netter's tag.
