This is the one of the signature works by designer Bill Curry for his company Design Line– his large steel Jacks. Curry took a child's toy and turned it into a large decorative and functional object. They can serve as bookends, door stops, or just as playful sculptures. This pair in red and black is the much more rare extra large model J-0, considerably bigger than the regular Model J-1. weighing three times more at 9 lbs. it has even more physical presence.
