Designed in 1969 by the Castiglioni brothers, the "rochetto", or "spool" stool is a wonderful design. Two identical forms are fastened together giving it the distinctive hourglass spool shape. The top half has a removable inset top allowing it to serve as a table or nightstand, and which also supports the removable seat cushion when used as a stool. Made by Kartell and distributed in the US by George Beylerian, this example is in excellent original condition.
