A beautiful pair of soft pad lounge chairs by Charles and Ray Eames in rich burgundy leather. The soft pad group grew out of the aluminum group design which the Eames' designed for Alexander Girard when he was working with Eero Saarinen on the Miller house in Columbus, IN. 
A plush seat with padded cushions on a frame with a relaxed pitch and high back, the soft pad chairs have proved to be an enduring design that balances comfort with a modernist aesthetic. These chairs have a wonderful, rich patina to the leather upholstery and aluminum frames.
