The model 209 or “Diplomat” armchair was designed by Finn Juhl in 1961 and made by France & Son. The design perfectly illustrates Juhl’s practice of clearly delineating the upholstered seat and back from the sculpted wood frame. A great  desk chair or occasional chair that can be used in a variety of situations, it possesses a subtle elegance. 
 
This example has a frame of rich, beautiful Brazilian rosewood and was distributed by Cado. It has been reupholstered poorly, and we will soon be having it reupholstered correctly. Unit then, it is available as-is to be upholstered in the fabric or leather of your choosing.
