This early George Nelson design features two extensions with reversible and removable tray tables. Closed, it is a modestly scaled table. Opened the surface nearly doubles, and the two loose trays flip to become serving trays with white mica tops. It is a perfect example of Nelson's highly functional and rationalist design sensibility. The rich primavera wood has been restored while maintaining the deep honey color from age. With the extensions, the table expands to six feet.
